Introduction

The Academic Centre for Dentistry in Amsterdam (ACTA) was founded in 1984 through a merger of the two dentistry faculties of the Universiteit van Amsterdam and the Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam.

ACTA conducts scientific research, teaches and provides patient care in the field of dentistry. It has a staff of 500 and a student body of 900. With a student intake of 126, ACTA is one of the biggest dentistry education & training programmes in the world.

ACTA strives to make optimum use of the talents of its students and staff by providing a high-quality study and working environment.
