A research grant from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) has been awarded to Oral Implantology (ACTA) and Prosthodontics, Peking University (China).

A research grant of about 60,000 euro from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) has been awarded to the Department of Oral Implantology, ACTA, and the Department of Prosthodontics, Peking University, China.  With this grant, Dr. Gang Wu (Oral Implantology, ACTA) and Prof. Dr. Yongsheng Zhou (Chairman, Prosthodontics, Peking University) will perform a collaborative study, entitled “Biomimetic coating-incorporated bone morphogenetic protein (BMP)-2/7 heterodimer stimulates osteogenesis of adipose-derived stem cells”.

This grant cooperatively integrates novel techniques developed in the two departments, aiming to establish a new research line in bone tissue engineering. This is the first cooperative grant after the trip of ACTA delegates to China. It will significantly reinforce the ties between ACTA and Universities in China.
